Trees need their space to grow and pruning helps give them that space. While pruning, we remove any weak or unhealthy branches to eliminate potential opportunities for decay as well as those that might be competing for space to allow the healthy branches room to grow. We also look to predict future branch growth to improve long-term tree growth and to minimize future pruning needs.
As trees grow, they grow into their own natural shape. Often, branches will stray from their natural shape and look out of place. General shaping helps to take care of stray branches that may have been missed during the pruning process and ornamental shaping can help create a more defined or thicker shape for your trees or shrubs.
Trees provide lots of value to your property. We want to do whatever we can to keep them there but we also acknowledge that this isn’t always possible. Outside factors such as disease or other environmental factors may actually decrease a tree’s innate value and call for it to be removed. Regardless of size, we can help remove these trees so that you can start fresh.
Not all environments are perfectly suited to all trees. A deep root injection (DRI) is a fertilizer treatment that helps give your trees the extra little boost they need. We use a specialized solution that we inject directly into the soil, providing your tree with nutrients specifically suited to the conditions we encounter here in southern Alberta.

No, the services we provide do not require a permit for trees on your property. If a tree is on city property however, it can only be worked on by city-specific contractors. Yes. We are fully insured and covered for all the work that we do, so that you can have peace of mind.
During the spring/summer season, most jobs will be scheduled anywhere from 2-6 weeks out. However, once we have reached an agreement, your quoted price is locked in and will not change, regardless of how far out you are booked.
No, you do not need to be home while we are caring for your trees. Your quote will outline the scope of work, including any specific details. If you have any questions or concerns following your tree’s care, reach out and we will answer them for you.
We stand by our quotes and the final price will not differ from that of the quoted one. If additional care is requested and agreed upon while work is being completed, this will also be reflected on your final invoice. GST is included on your final invoice.
